i'm gonna ORD in a month and today is my 2 year anniversary in the army!!!!!!! yay. thats a pretty freaking long time. from bmt, where they shaved our heads and made us leopard crawl through mud and made us dig trenches till blisters bleed, to enjoying the beautiful night sky and air in tekong, and then to entering our parent unit, figuring out what can be done and what can't and how to flout rules without being caught cause like they say, 'you can do whatever you want in the army, just dont get caught' , to entering signal school, where i laid lines in twilight, beneath a hovering helicopter's draft and watchful spaceship lights. most surreal experience ever.
i wish i could say it was a good 2 years, but there were many times i wished it were over and i could get on with my life. but now that it's ending, i guess i can only look back in fond memories; the road ahead is dauntingly uncertain.
so *raises glass* heres to everyone who played a part in my army life. here i am, i've made it through.
ps: to glenn, bestest buddy! you lit up my army life most significantly :) here's to us and ORD.

a friend of mine got married last weekend.. man i love her. is that why i felt a tinge of sadness when i saw her walking down the isle? its kinda like sending a sister away ainnit. anyway, amid that silver of nostalgia and melancoly (i remember being in sec one, and us passing notes to one another; how did i not see that as a yellow card for my impending sexuality?!) I was reminded of a fairytale of a girl made good. this girl is special. i love her.
here's to your marriage my dear...

Tell me where is fancy bred,
Or in the heart or in the head?
How begot, how norished?
Reply, reply.
It's engender'd in the eyes,
With gazing fed; and fancy dies
In the cradle where it lies.
Let us ring fancy's knell:
I'll begin it, - Ding, dong, bell.
Ding, dong, bell.
