here i am in thailand. i really do like it here. theres like zero stress. i'll be like in a traffic jam and there's no stress. i'm like in an alternate universe, that sort of thing. people actually smile here and mean it. THATS SERVICE, PEOPLE. and they dont need a campaign to start it.
moved into my room last night after a 2 hr flight. simple, one bed, blankets, one cupboard. thats bout it. opened my cupboard and in a drawer with the bedsheets were 3 porn magazines. hmm. the straight part of me (its really small) thought "thats is very thoughtful." you know.. if theres a barometer on how open minded your relatives are, putting porn in your young male relative's drawer is one benchmark.
and thats one bar below "bringing home your gay boyfriend". i really want to raise that bar soon. ^^ i'm really glad for that because the past 2 years have been hell.

and since i 'm on the topic of the army. i present to you
ARMY LINGO 101, "Your problem or my problem"
Usually said by warrant officer when you have something to say and you do say it and it messes up his schedule or something. your head will usually go "erm. duh. its totally your problem". resist it. but dont say it out aloud. they usually say it when they are too lazy to deal with the problem at hand or just to dumb to bother. negate and placate them by saying stuff like "its my problem but i need.." "the report's not possible because..." stand your ground and explain yourself. just dont go "duh. it's totally your problem."
till the next lesson, ciao.

one thing good that came out of the army for me was that i learnt how to deal with people. i've met all kinds now (i think). we have geniuses, like gerald, kuan rui, glenn, ivan, all super smart yet some of my best friends in camp because they're so down to earth. lazy people like the signal storemen. poor friends. rich friends. hardworking ones like kuan rui and the FE store people. funny ones like guannan. selfish ones. people who talk alot of cock. ones who are slightly off the in mind. ones who act like they are "the man" (when they actually arn't). some people think that when you enter the army, its best to be an officer. i know lance corporals (cough* ivan *cough) that act more officer -like than commissioned people (cough* bso *cough). i know lance corporals and corporals that are smarter and better in conduct than officers. seriously, who grades these things. It doesnt make sense to me. this morning i was on guard duty and was in the Ops room and this warrant officer who is experienced (i mean he's seen it all. and he diffuses bombs and stuff) and super nice was asking this guy who was an officer who was probably 20 years old if he wanted to do something. i looked at that officer and thought "omg, he doesnt know shit." and there he was acting like the was the man. and the warrant has to call that kid "sir". its wrong! all wrong!!!! there. i said it. i do not understand the army.

i was sitting on my comp the other day bored with nothing to do so i opened out my windows media player. you know how sometimes you hear a song and the singer is so good, so genius that you cant help but put a smile on your face. (well, i feel that way sometimes anyway) that song was one of those songs. i've never heard of it before so i reckon someone in my family downloaded it. it was a slow r & b number called "neither one of us (want to be the first to say goodbye)". by (surprise) an ex-idol singer called jennifer hudson. maybe she recorded an album, i dont know.
